CASE Study Challenge #8

Hapyy Thursday to y'all!

I was once again blown away by Mariana's gorgeous cards! The sketch is entirely inspired by her. Let's check out the rest of the design team's gorgeous work HERE!

I'm using Papertey Ink stamps on this card.....love love the flourish stamp. It's versatile and I can see myself using it over and over again. I can't leave my card without a butterfly or two, can I? Lol :)

Thankful for friends like you!

Hello my lovely bloggy friends!

As I sit here in front of my laptop reading your comments, I am reminded how blessed and thankful I am to have bloggy friends like you. I always thought to myself what if I never start blogging, would I miss the chance of knowing all the fabulous people from around the world? Definitely YES! I am glad I took the first step and the rest is history :)

I'll be travelling to KL and spend my four days with this babe. We are going to have a blast, that's for sure!! I am meeting some of my crafty friends too. Ohhh....I am getting excited! Can't wait to see the gals!

I made a card with my new favourite manufacturer, Echo Park. The colors of the paper are so vibrant and it makes me happy just by looking at them.

Thanks for stopping! See you again!

CASE Study Challenge #7

Happy Thursday y'all!

I'm back with another card made for CASE Study challenge. The design team did it again this week!! Everyone's creation is just so gorgeous and I love each and everyone of them! You have to check out the blog and see it for yourselves.

I was once again inspired by Mariana's gorgeous card. Seriously, this talented crafter never fail to inspire me with her creativity! I decided to go for clean and simple this week. The beautiful pattern paper is from Lush Collection by My Mind's Eye. I love this collection so much so that I feel like hoarding it. But I can't resist....lol :) The big beautiful die cut butterfly is a RAK from my crafty babe, Jessy (thanks babe!!) It's white so I misted it with glimmer mist. Yeah...I play with glimmer mist. Surprise surprise!

We are so glad to have PixiePetals as our sponsor again this week! Ohh...you must really check out her store and see all the pretty stuff that she made! So come and play along with us! Can't wait to see your creation!

I am...........

back with my regular post! It makes me happy! I truly appreciate the time you took for leaving me a comment every now and then. I'm so fortunate to have a group of supportive bloggy friends like you all. You made me fall in love with blogging like never before. So, THANK YOU!

I'm here to share another card I made during my card frenzy weekend. It is a very simple card with a mix of Girl Paperie and My Mind's Eye paper. The colors are soft and pretty, don't you think? You know how I love my ribbbons right? The cream satin ribbon is my new love :) Both sides are identical so you don't have to worry which side to flip when tying a bow. Love it already? You can get them from Smidapaper :)

That's all I have for today! Do come back again tomorrow for another round of CASE Study Challenge. Have fun!

Grad!

Hey there!

A colleague of mine ordered a graduation card from me. It's for a guy so I keep the design as masculine as possible. No pink, no ribbon, no polka dots and no flowers.....oh boy. I dig through my stash and happily found the Basic Brey ledger paper that my crafty friend, Vi gave to me a while ago. The die cut borders and alphabet paper is from the So Sophie collection by My Mind's Eye and you can get them from Smidapaper. The chipboard letters from Cosmo Cricket. I guess this has to be my favourite of all the masculine cards I've ever created :)

Thanks for your lovely comment!! Hope you are having a great day!

Friendly Challenge

Happy Monday y'all!

I hope you had a great weekend! I sure did! I had a very prodcutive weekend....been spending a lot of time in my craft room and created thirteen cards in a span of three days. It rarely happens and so glad it did :)

Today I have somehing fun to share. My creative babe, Jessy host a friendly challenge and asked a couple of her crafty friends (including me) to join. She sent us an inspiration photo and I was drawn to the colors and the patterns of the cushion pillows. Although these are not my usual favourite color combo but it's a defnitely a good challenge to make me step out of my comfort zone in a while.

Photo inspiration from www.thelennoxx.com

At first I can't decide if I should create a CAS card or shabby chic one. Luckily Echo Park and October Afternoon paper came to my rescue and help me decide which style to go for. Phew...they sure save my day :) Though simple but I love the result. I hope you like it too.

I thought the sentiment fit the challenge perfectly. A friendship card for a friendly challenge :) I hope this inspires you and let's check out the rest of the particpants here.....

Cardmaking Class at Smidapaper

Hello there!

I'll be having another cardmaking class on Saturday, September 25th at Smidapaper. Learn how to make precise windows on your cards. This session also teaches ink blending techniques, background stamping & puching. For more details on the class, check out Smidapaper blog here.

Also, do check out my weekly post at Smidapaper blog. I'm sure most of you have your fair share of paper scraps left over from your projects. But do you use them often? Well, I don't so I challenged myself to create with nothing but scraps and I managed to came up with three mini cards. Let's just say I'm proud of myself :)

Have a great day!

Case Study Challenge #6

Happy Thursday to y'all! It is surely a happy day for me because today is a holiday! I will spend my time wisely :) You know what I'm up to right? lol :)

Today I'm back with another CASE Study challenge card inspired by our September muse, Mariana Grisby. Once again, I'm amazed at Mariana's creativity and I absolutely love her work! And of course the DT did an amazing job too! Why don't you hop on over to CASE Study Challenge blog and see it for yourselves?

I took a different approach to this week's challenge. I thought I would give my stamp a little break and decided to use the cute stickers and fun paper by Echo Park (courtesy of Sheila). You know I hardly use green and orange but these colors just jumped right in front of me and I couldn't resist. It screams happy, don't you think? The sentiment came from WPlus9.

We have a returning sponsor this week so please welcome Really Reasonable Ribbon. Bonnie have a lot of pretty ribbons in her store at a reasonable price. You'll never get enough of ribbons :)

I hope you'll join us this week. See ya around!

I Miss You!

Hey there!

Sorry for being so quiet lately. I was not feeling well for the whole of last week and I'm still feeling sick while typing this. I had a really bad cough that makes me feel very weak and tired. My mom make me took lots of medicine but none of them work. So, I guess I'll have to bear with it until it recovers by itselves.

Today it's a replacement holiday for me (and for many of us) as our Muslim friends celebrated Hari Raya on last Friday and Saturday. I stayed at my mom's place over the long weekend and since there was no internet connection at her place, I resort to go somewhere with a free wi-fi....McDonalds :) Youngsters nowadays don't study at home, do they? Almost 80% of the patrons are youngsters with their laptops and books (and I almost feel like one if you consider me young.....lol) Ok, I better not waste my time as my battery is running low. Let me share a card I made a while back.

Stamped the lace borders by Kaisercraft in different hue of green and blue. The polka dots background and butterfly is by Papertrey. I love it when two different stamp sets work well together!

I hope you are having a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

CASE Study Challenge #5

I can't believe that it had been a month since the debut of CASE Study challenge! This week, we bring you a new muse and I must tell you that I have been admiring her work for quite a while. She's so inspiring and she's none other than the talented Mariana Grisby!
I was inspired by her use of embossing folder and it made me took out mine which is quite new because I only used once. I was also inspired by her design that I tried to follow closely. Here's my take on her card :)

Do check out the fabulous creations by the DT here! You are sure blown away by their creativity! This week our new sponsor is Catherine Pooler, a SU! Demontstrator. Catherine is giving away one free month of
Club Inbox. We hope to see you play along :)

Wool you be mine?

Hello lovelies!

Today I'm sharing a card I sumitted for Paper Crafts call and obviously it didn't get picked and I get to share it with you.

Speaking of submission, I was lucky to have a few cards in the upcoming issues of Cards magazine and one card in Paper Cratfs. I thought I would share a story of how it all started. My first ever submission to Cards magazine was July last year. I would submit my cards (I counted....around 15 cards) to them every once in a while but none ever get picked. I was upset and decided that they never like me and almost gave up. Sheila was the one who stood by me and gave me the confidence I needed. I told myself to try one last time and if it doesn't work out, I should forget about the whole publication thingy. Imagine my surprise when I received the first acceptance email from them back in May! I was so nervous that I almost died!! I literally screamed on the phone when I shared the happy news with my bestie and it took me almost an hour to calm down...lol! Since then, I started to work on submissions and it's been good so far.

My point of sharing this story with you is NOT to brag....which is the last thing I want but hope to encourage some of you who wish to submit. Give it a try when you think you are ready and if you don't succeed the first time, don't be sad and don't let the whole publication thing take over your life (I learned my lesson). Take it easy and keep trying. One day you will enjoy the fruits of your labor :) Happy submitting!

Birthday Card

Happy Monday!

Although my last post was only three days ago but it feels like forever. It's not that I am slacking but because I can't share some of the stuff that I've been creating. But this week I will be back with my regular post as I have a few cards that weren't picked by Paper Crafts and I'm happy to share it here :)

I'm digging the tea cup and the spoon stamp by Papertrey Ink. Have no regrets buying them!

I'm keeping this post short and simple. Thanks for coming by! I truly appreciate your time!

Happy Birthday to Josie!

Hello LOVELIES!

I'm feeling tired today! Sheila and I did something really fun yesterday until past midnight. What did we do you may ask? Well, someone commissioned us to make 46 place cards for a birthday party and after 6 hours of talking ...opps...I mean working, we completed the place cards :) By the time we finished, it was already 1:30am! Hubby called this morning and was shocked that I got home late or shall I say early morning. At least he shows some concern which is very sweet by the way...lol :)

I just had a wonderful lunch with my crafty buddies, Josie and Sharon. Today is also a special day for Josie because it's her birthday! This birthday girl is so sweet that she bought us lunch at a Japanese restaurant! Josie is one of the sweetest and happiest girl I've ever come across! I just adore her! HAPPY BIRTHDAY my dear!!! May you have a wonderful day!
I'll leave you with a card I made using paper from my new favourite manufacturer, Echo Park :)
